Cost Optimization Consultants Built for Your Business
Most businesses have never had an outside set of eyes on their full cost structure. Expenses accumulate over time. Vendors get renewed on autopilot. Headcount grows around processes that no longer make sense. Technology stacks expand without anyone auditing what is actually being used.
Our cost reduction consultants work across manufacturing, construction, healthcare, financial services, and professional services. We have helped organizations identify millions in annual savings by looking at the full picture at once, not just vendor contracts or headcount in isolation.
Our Approach: Process, People, and Technology
Most cost reduction efforts focus on one area. They cut headcount, renegotiate a few vendor contracts, or audit software subscriptions. Brewster runs all three simultaneously.
Our proprietary 3P Profit Diagnostic examines your processes, people, and technology at the same time. We map how your business actually operates, identify where your cost structure is misaligned with your operations, and present a full list of recommended reductions with dollar values attached to each one. You approve every line item before we invoice. If we find nothing worth acting on, you pay nothing.
Frequently Asked Questions About Cost Reduction Consulting
Common questions about cost reduction consulting engagements with Brewster Consulting Group.
What does a cost reduction consulting engagement actually look like?
We start with a kickoff call to understand your business, key objectives, and current pain points. From there we run a 6 to 8 week organizational review across your processes, people, and technology simultaneously using our proprietary 3P Profit Diagnostic. We present a detailed list of recommended cost reductions with dollar values attached to each one. You approve every line item. We then support implementation and track the results financially.
How does the performance-based fee model work?
Our fee is a percent of the annualized savings you agree to execute. You review every recommendation before we invoice anything. If you choose not to act on a recommendation, you do not pay for it. If we find nothing worth acting on, you owe us nothing. There are no upfront fees and no retainer. You can only have a net positive financial outcome from working with us.
What areas do your cost reduction consultants target?
We examine six areas simultaneously: workforce structure, technology and software spend, vendor and supplier contracts, benefits plans, process inefficiencies, and inventory management. Most cost reduction efforts focus on one area at a time. Our 3P Profit Diagnostic looks at all of them at once, which is how we consistently find savings others miss.
How much can we expect to save?
It depends on your revenue, industry, and how long it has been since your cost structure was formally reviewed. We have identified $1.4M in annual savings for a financial services company, $500K for a healthcare organization, and $250K for an oil and gas company. Use the savings estimator on this page to get a personalized estimate based on your actual revenue and payroll figures.
How long does a cost reduction consulting engagement take?
From kickoff to completed implementation support, a typical engagement runs 12 to 16 weeks. The organizational review takes 6 to 8 weeks. The proposed change review and approval process follows, then 6 weeks of implementation support to execute the agreed changes and track results.
How do you handle confidential financial and operational data?
We sign NDAs before any work begins and keep all confidential information within your environment. We do not pull data or records outside of your systems. For the duration of the engagement we operate inside your tenant and your infrastructure. Nothing leaves without your explicit approval.
What makes Brewster different from other cost reduction consultants?
Most cost reduction firms audit vendor contracts or focus on headcount. We run our 3P Profit Diagnostic across processes, people, and technology simultaneously. That means we find savings in places a single-track audit misses entirely. Our performance-based fee model also means our incentives are fully aligned with yours. We only get paid when you save money.
What types of companies do you work with?
We work with companies across manufacturing, financial services, healthcare, oil and gas, construction, professional services, and many others. The common thread is not industry, it is that leadership suspects there is margin sitting inside the business that has never been formally identified. If your cost structure has not been audited in the last two to three years, there is almost certainly something to find.
